Where Two or More are Gathered

If you are united through Christ in Holy Matrimony you are a force to be reckoned with in the Universe. Matthew 18:19 “If two of you agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven.”

The devil hates you and will work hard to ensure you never meet your full potential as individuals and certainly as a couple.

Christian Marriages hold a powerful opportunity to take back our families, neighborhoods, churches and towns to the glory of God. But we must be in agreement. Often we are busy focusing on our spouses shortcomings or past hurts so the potential to be unified gets blurred.

Christ calls us to be salt and light to the world. Salt preserves and enhances the flavor of whatever it touches. The original flavor is brought out and accentuated. Salt gets into the environment around it and adds protection and preservation. Likewise our marriages should be a daily part of the community and bring out the best in all that it touches. We as a couple can speak life into other couples.

Meanwhile, light penetrates the darkness. The reality is we live in a fallen cursed world where entropy is law. Darkness can hide evil and decay. Couples struggling with addictions or sexual incompatibility may need a gentle reminder that there is a way out.

But what does it look like to be salt and light to the world? One way is for your marriage to reflect how Jesus loves this world. When you are living a Honeymoon life of joy and intimacy and passion the world will be attracted to it and ask, what is your secret?
